Mother and daughter.
Camila Casual is a Dominican house, opened in Santiago de los Caballeros in 1986 by Alba Luz Díaz, who has been its creative director ever since. She learned the trade in her mother's workroom, sewing beside doña Altagracia Pérez. Three hundred people work there today, and every garment is still made in the house.
Her daughter Karla María Abreu grew up the same way — cloth, cutting, the floor — and came back from Polimoda in Florence in 2019 to lead design alongside her.
